Turned & Spun is open to selected commission enquiries where the idea, material and making process feel like the right fit. Whether you are looking for a bespoke wooden vessel, a spun metal bowl, or a small series of pieces, Joshua can work with you to develop an object with character, purpose and personal meaning.

Each commission starts with a conversation.  It may begin with a material, a function, a form, a memory or a simple idea for something you would like made.  From there, Joshua considers how the object could be shaped through woodturning, metal spinning and careful hand finishing.

The aim is not to make mass-produced or heavily customised products, but thoughtful handmade objects that feel honest, useful and well resolved.  Each piece will depend upon material availability, scale, complexity and the time needed to make it properly.
